As Avtar & Seramount Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) enters its ninth year, the recognitions grow to acknowledge unique industry nuances and spot-light path-breaking work by DEI intentional companies, in an industry-wise manner.
Best Companies listing in 2024 will have industry categories – “Best Companies in Consulting”, Best Companies – Global Capabilities Centers (GCC)”, “Best Companies in IT”, “Best Companies in manufacturing”, “Best Companies in FMCG”, “Best companies in BFSI” etc. All listings will be alphabetical in nature. The trailblazing Top 10 companies across industries, will be honored as a separate alphabetical list.
We are also pleased to announce the “Best Companies - Emerging Icons” track in BCWI. Companies with an employee strength of 100-500 are eligible to apply to this segment. Companies with a registered MSME certificate (whose employee count is over 500 or between 100-500) are eligible to apply to this segment.
Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI) in its sixth year will continue to celebrate companies for their exceptional efforts to ensure inclusion of gender, People with Disabilities (PwD), LGBTQ+ Community, generation, and culture.

Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI)
Since 2016, this study has been helping companies understand their DEI position in the market and forge their path ahead through benchmarks and best practices. The study also recognizes companies for exceptional practices towards gender diversity and inclusion.
Who can participate?
BCWI Track 1 – Any company with a minimum of 500 employees (including the entire gender spectrum) in its India operations can apply.
BCWI Track 2 – This is the newly introduced Emerging Icons track. Any company having an employee strength between 100 – 500 (including the entire gender spectrum) in its India operations can apply.

Empowering women towards economic and social independence is not just a belief at SPNI; it's a resounding commitment to fostering positive change. Through Livelihood Skills Training Program, the organization and its partners have embarked on a transformative journey, aiming to empower marginalized women and girls. This initiative isn't just about skills; it's about creating opportunities for them to Tell Stories Beyond the Ordinary. Curated for diverse contexts, both urban and rural, the approach focuses on equipping women with the skills and tools needed to be self-reliant and competitive, while keeping their current skills in mind. Our geo-customized interventions have impacted over 2,500 women, each story a testament to the potential unleashed when empowerment meets tailored support. In one such initiative, the initiative reached out to young graduate women, many of whom were firstgeneration learners, preparing them for the jobs of the future through AI training. The venture went beyond classrooms and involved extensive outreach, screening, and training sessions on AI, life skills, and placements.

Aligned with the ethos of providing access to education, eradicating poverty, and ensuring diverse and inclusive future generations, Citi and Buzz Women have directly impacted over 314,278 women through an innovative and empowering model for doorstep financial literacy since 2016. ‘Self Shakti’ provides women with training on building relationships, family budgeting, basics of enterprise, goal setting, and management of credit, assets, and liabilities. During sessions, trainers identify a Gelathi (community anchor) who receives additional capacity building through the Spoorthi Fellowship on topics like self-awareness, communication for influencing, community and collaboration, and conflict resolution.

- 2024 BCWI will have two tracks: Track 1 is for companies with 500 or more employees. Track 2 is for companies between 100 – 500 employees. Companies with a registered MSME certificate (whose employee count is over 500 or between 100-500) should also apply to this segment.
